Noctua NF-P14 FLX Review

With the continued flux of PC cooling companies on to the international scene, reputation is key and perhaps it is this, Noctua’s seemingly legendary status as a premium quality cooling Solutions Company that has held them at the forefront of the market for several years since its establishment in 2005. Formed through the merger of Austrian Rascom Computerdistribution Ges.m.b.H and the Taiwanese Kolink International Corporation, Noctua has focused predominately on the cooling of the central processing unit with an array of aluminium heatsinks and fans symbolised by their peach and brown colour schemes.

Evercool Cruise Missile STC-03 Thermal Paste Review

Cruise missiles don’t immediately spring to mind in connection to perhaps one of the more mundane, yet very important, parts of a computer rig – the humble thermal paste. This grey paste is vital to the cool running of the CPU especially when it comes to overclocking as every single degree counts. In recent years, Arctic Silver 5 has been at the top of the pile when it comes to thermal grease performance. However, with seemingly every single thermal solutions company producing their own acclaimed perfect compound, many now rival the once stand-out AS5. Evercool are the latest company to send us their tube of thermal grease; so how does it compare to other pastes?

CoolAge Frozen Orb X120 Transform X120TF CPU Cooler Review

The CPU cooling market is dominated by the big names in the industry such as the Cooler Master’s, Noctua’s and Thermaltake’s. These larger companies have a proven track record and consistently produce top quality cooling solutions. However, there are numerous other minnow companies out there that are producing top notch products without the high price tags demanded by the big names.
Today, we take a look at the X120TF Frozen Orb CPU cooler from CoolAge. I, for one, must admit have only very recently come across this manufacturer so how will this cooler compare is the already very crowded CPU cooling marketplace? Let’s find out…

Arctic Cooling ARCTIC MX-2 & MX-3 Thermal Paste Review

Creating a perfect cooling setup is often all about the cooler, chassis and fans with users spending a great deal of money to not only acquire high end heatsinks and thermal designs but also to keep the noise levels down. The little things, such as thermal paste, are often wrongly overlooked. The contact between the CPU and base of the CPU cooler is a very important one and so the right paste is a must have to ensure that heat is effectively transferred from one to the other and also to fill up ay grooves in the cooler’s base (often found with H.D.T. technology).
Arctic Cooling are a specialist when it comes to cooling and their latest two thermal compounds, aptly named ARCTIC MX-2 and ARCTIC MX-3, aim to achieve great performance at a reasonable price. Let’s take a closer look…
