Conclusion

The Luxon Advanced is a good product and the eSATA results really back up this up as they are very close to straight SATA results – a triumph for any HDD enclosure. On the other hand, the USB values were much less impressive and were severely down on the other two methods whilst this is kind of expected; the difference between the sets of data is very big.

Aesthetics wise, this product looks great and so if you’re looking for an attractive product with great performance, I recommend you take a look as long as you don’t intent on using the old USB connection.
