DX900 has good hardware apart from small RAM (only128MB). Factory ROM is bad, slow and hangs all the time. However, there is a good cooked ROM, particularly, cooked ROM by Bruno, works very well. There is currently only one 3G WM phone (DX900) available. If you want dual sims 3G WM, then you have no other options. Buy this phone and a fast SD card ( 8-16G,Class-6), and then upgrade it with a cooked ROM by Bruno. You should have a decent working dual sims 3G WM phone.

Even i am using a D 980 dual sim samsung phone, and sometimes it hangs, and no voice can be heard, but once i restart the phone, its fine.
So any other advices on buying the acer dual sim phone, as its features, are readably good, not sure of more user complaints, as 2 stores, ie, Jackys and emax in moe dubai, have both said no problems so far received on the acer dual sim phone

I was almost done paying USD 600- for DX900- thoday in Dxb.However after reading the above comments I have changed my mind as seems Microsoft is charging too much for its Brand.
However must admit I am using latest Samsung D980 dual SIM phone, and it has also problems too but very minor.

Mine is a unique problem if anyone can help do mail me the solution, in acer dx 900 the slot 1 sim works fine but slot 2sim has a network problem…..u keep on feeling the blank gaps between conversations untill the opposite caller gets annoyed and hangs up your call.. what to do?

I have some problems too!

I solve the battery problem using the patch file from acer site.

But.
The phone is too slow!
Some times the phone stack!
Some other time when I receive a phone call, its stop ringing and only vibrate!
When I close the phone the alarm is not working!
The big problem is the gravity sensor. Problematic 100%! So I don’t using this function.
