Teen Steals YouTube Music Videos

A 15-year-old has created a free-music service by nicking YouTube’s music videos.

Muziic, created by teen developer David Nelson, has built an iTunes-like interface on top of YouTube. It means that users can stream YouTube’s music to their PCs without fiddling with videos. Punters can also build playlists and organise songs in a way similar to iTunes.

The idea is one that the music industry is working on and while the software has been released, it is yet to receive the blessing of Google. This could be that Nelson could be receiving a nasty letter from
YouTube’s solicitors.

When Cnet got in touch with them about the software they said that they had not heard of it. On a preliminary review, however, it appears that the site violates YouTube’s API terms of use.
