Microsoft Silent over Future of Vista OS

With Microsoft’s latest OS seemingly just around the corner – Windows 7 – the question of what Microsoft will do with the current OS Vista has been kept under wraps.

The usual thing to do is to let the two operating systems run along side one another until the newer version is successfully embedded in the market and the minds of the customers. However, recent reports imply that Micrsoft could be planning to dispose of Vista very soon after the release of Windows 7.

Microsoft is yet to comment on this though and so the future of Vista is still very much in the balance.

I don’t see why that would have to abandon it, win 7 is essentially the same as vista. It should be easy to support both products through out vista & win 7′s life.
