OCZ has now officially announced the introduction of it’s new low voltage DDR2 kits from both the Blade and Platinum series. It has been made apparent that these kits should be very good in terms of overclocking working at 1.8V with exactly the same latencies of 5-5-5-18.
A total of 6 different 4GB DDR2 kits have been unveiled by OCZ in the 1066, 1150 and 1200MHz speeds. In terms of heatsink there is the choice of OCZ’s well-known Platinum or the Blade.
One of the main advantages of these kits are that they run at much lower voltages (simialr ktis from other companies are generally in the region of 2.0V) so a reduction of 0.2V is seen with the OCZ kits. Another good point to pick up on is that the warrant is not void if the user increases the voltages to 1.85V – a good sign indeed.
