Acer DX900 Review

Acer hopes that the DX900 will be a sure fire hit but the amount of consumers who are actually looking for dual SIM functionality is likely to be a small minority. With this in mind, can Acer still produce a phone which warrants purchase using just a single SIM card?

Let’s see whether they can achieve just this…

Cooler Master ATCS 840 Review

Cooler Master has always been renowned for their classically styled cases and this reputation was born with the first of the ATC (Active Thermal Convection) cases – the ATCS-201. Since then, some of Cooler Master’s styling has wavered somewhat with a seemingly more beefed-up design found in the HAF-932.

Today we have the latest ATCS case released at a similar time to the HAF-932 which returns to the more classical breed of Cooler Master cases. The manufacturer will hope this particular enclosure can match the iconic level of some of their previous designs such as the Cosmos. However, can the ATCS-840 really match up to its predecessors? Let’s take a look…

Speedlink Tube Review

Speakers and headsets are very important things to consider when gaming as they can transport you to a whole new dimension if they perform well. Unfortunately, for a real top notch headset you are normally talking around the £80 mark which is a lot in today’s somewhat troubled economic climate. Speedlink has always been regarded as producing great products for very fair prices and today we have one of their headsets to take for a spin. With a vast amount of headsets produced by Speedlink, will the Tube be able to stand out from the crowd? Let’s find out…

Eagle Tech Consus T-Series ET-CSTESU2-BK External HDD Enclosure Review

External storage systems have really hit it off in recent years with people wanting to transfer more and more data from one computer to another. The enclosures have evolved to be very easy to use and able to support IDE and SATA hard drives utilising both USB and eSATA connections. However, with USB performance lagging behind, more and more users are turning to eSATA for its much higher read/write speeds. Let’s take a look at the Eagle Tech Consus T-Series to see what kind of performance it can offer…

Noctua NH-C12P Review

The tower format cooler with multi-heatpipes and large fin stacks has been a triumph for thermal solution companies alike far replacing the more traditional top-down cooler. One such company which still believes in the performance of this style of cooler and for its greater compatibility in smaller cases is Noctua. Their cooling solutions have earned them a highly regarded name and one such product that has contributed to this is their NH-C12P CPU cooler featuring a whopping 6 heatpipes and fins emanating directly from the base. Let’s see if the performance can keep up with the newer tower coolers which now dominate the market.

GlacialTech Igloo 5610 Plus Silent CPU Cooler Review

With the CPU cooling market saturated with very high end coolers that cost anything up to £60 and with the credit crunch still biting, more and more users are looking for a more value-for-money product. One such company that has taken up the mantle and come up with a lower end product is Glacialtech. The cooler is a lot smaller than many coolers on the market and utilises only two heatpipes – clearly we’re not looking for amazingly low temperatures but just some solid figures. Introducing the GlacialTech 5610 Plus Silent…

Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Review

Cooler Master’s newest addition to their cooling range coincides brilliantly with the launch of the i5 and LGA1156 hardware. The i5 is the baby brother of the i7 CPUs and has a lower stock TDP of 95W and thus producing less heat. The Cooler Master Hyper TX3 aims to be very affordable and yet still perform well so as to provide sufficient cooling for the i5 range. With a good reputation that has extended into the cooling market, Cooler Master’s Hyper TX3 has high expectations. However, will corners have been cut in order to allow for the price reduction? Let’s take a look…

Noctua NH-U12P Review

The introduction of the latest X58 and i7 platform has meant that a whole new mounting mechanism for the LGA1366 socket has been developed. The influx of coolers is now extremely vast with the predominate theme of the coolers featuring aluminium fin stacks and U-shaped heat pipes. One such design that has had great success is the Noctua NH-U12P; instead of redesigning a whole new cooler for the i7 platform as some companies have chosen to do, Noctua have stuck with the tried and tested NH-U12P creating a special edition with an adjusted accessory bundle specifically for the LGA1366 socket. With high accolades and proven performance, this heatsink and fan combination should be a sure fire hit in cooling the i7 processor.

There are a huge number of power supply companies out there ranging from the well-known brands of Enermax, Corsair and Cooler master to much smaller less well known brands.
