OCZ has now officially released the Limited Edition Solid State Drive which is rumoured to be the first to utilise the Sandforce controller. Using MLC NAND flash memory, the OCZ Vertex Limited Edition has a 3.0Gbps SATA interface as well as including TRIM support. With reported read and write speeds of up to 270MB/s and 250MB/s respectively, not to mention a sustained write of 235MB/s, the Vertex certainly packs a punch.
Zotac GeForce GT 240 Review

ATI have been plugging the low-end mainstream market of their 5 series DirectX 11 cards with the launch of several cards: the HD 5450, HD 5570 and HD 5670 are the most recent additions. With Nvidia’s Fermi launch still several weeks away, the GT 240 bolsters the GTX-200 series and hopes to take the fight to ATI’s previous generation star of the graphics world without extra PCI-e power connections – the Radeon HD 4670.

New Additions Set for Intel Low Voltage Arrandale Generation

Intel is set to release the first of its ultra low voltage Arrandale CPUs in the first quarter of 2010; the i5 520UM (a 1.06GHz clocked dual core) has similar features to the desktop processors including “Turbo Boost” which allows the 520UM to hit speeds of 1.86GHz, a 0.8GHz rise.

First Fermi Cards to be GTX 480 and GTX 470

The first Fermi cards to be released are now set to be named the GeForce GTX 480 and the GeForce GTX 470. Naturally, the 480 (being the bigger number) is the beefier GPU and is therefore more expensive. It is now also known that the 300 series branding is reserved for Nvidia’s new DirectX 10.1 chips hence the 480 and 470 instead.
AMD announces HD 5570
